Looking for a family-friendly resort in Maui with epic views and easy beach access? We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Maui and here’s what we really thought.

🌺 What We Loved:
- Responsive staff who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable including multiple birthday surprises and upgraded rooms.
- Use of the Vacation Club pools next door, which gave our kids more to explore and the pools are much more kid friendly.
- Daily wildlife encounters—think penguins, parrots, and koi ponds right on property!
- Beachfront location with incredible views (sunset here is unreal)
- We booked rooms with access to the Club lounge with breakfast, snacks, and heavy hors d’oeuvres in the evening. It’s a peaceful place to regroup
- Family photo session options (great keepsake!)
- Near restaurants and a walking path—perfect for stroller naps or an evening drink
- Spacious rooms that worked well for our family of four
🤔 A Few Things to Know:
- Parking is limited, and the lot setup is a little awkward
- On-site restaurants aren’t very kid-friendly. They are much more gourmet/adult-oriented so we had to leave the property for dinners we didn’t eat in the Club lounge.
Would we go back? Absolutely. It’s a solid luxury resort that feels relaxing but fun—with plenty to do without ever leaving the property.
