I get this question all the time: “Is it really safe to travel these days?”
Here’s my honest answer: yes, but smartly.
We live in a complex world, and not every destination is right for every traveler. But with thoughtful planning and wise choices, you can still travel safely, joyfully, and meaningfully.

My best advice:
- Research current conditions and check government advisories
- Stick to well-supported, family-safe destinations
- Book with vetted vendors and established partners (I’ve got your back here)
- Always buy travel insurance
- Leave space in your plans—rigid itineraries are harder to adjust
The media often paints travel as risky or chaotic. But I’ve helped families travel this year to Hawaii, NYC, Europe, and Mexico—and they came home with beautiful memories. We’ve also done several trips this year with others planned already. I always book refundable rooms and we often fly with points, which are really flexible if needed. If you plan smart, it’s definitely possible to do!
